Energy storage is a key component of a modern efficient power grid management and power distribution. During the past years a remarkable progress in battery storage technology has opened up a novel perspective for their use as a broad-scale integrative part of reserve energy, e.g. through the new generation of electric passenger cars (Vehicle-to-Grid; V2G).
The power administration and distribution will be handled through a distributed multi-agent management system which is based on a related approach developed in the joint CS/EE project DEZENT and is currently funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DGF).
