Scheduling Critical and Sensitive Tasks with Remote Requests in Mission-Critical Systems
Proc. of the EUROMICRO ’92 Workshop on Real-Time Systems, IEEE Computer Society Press, Athens, Greece, 1992
A recent extension of the DRAGON SLAYER/ MELODY system is described which considerably enhances MELODY'S missioncritical capabilities (hard real-time responsiveness, adaptability, dependability, graceful degradation, fault tolerance). Tim e criticality of tasks and their sensitivity with respect to latest file information are explicitly used for novel flexible task scheduling algorithms and file replication management policies, in a fully integrated model. First performance studies are reported.
